Toyoo Tamamura moved to Tōmi City in 1991 and began planting European grape varieties, establishing the winery in 2003. Initially producing wine for personal use, his wines now boast quality recognized both domestically and internationally. An essayist, painter, and self-proclaimed epicurean, Tamamura is also a passionate wine lover who has led the Nagano Wine Valley initiative, helping to advance NAGANO WINE. His vision for creating a world-class wine region in Nagano is now widely shared and continues to expand throughout the region.
