Arc En Vigne serves as a cradle winery supporting the growing number of grape growers around Tōmi City, producing wines from purchased grapes and providing contract winemaking services. Named after the French "ARC-EN-CIEL" (rainbow) with "CIEL" (sky) replaced by "VIGNE" (vine), it symbolizes the connection between wine lovers and winemakers. This sibling winery to Villa d'Est is led by painter and essayist Toyoo Tamamura. Beyond winemaking, Arc En Vigne operates the Chikuma River Wine Academy, launched in 2015, where specialists teach viticulture, winemaking science, winery establishment, and global wine trends. Academy graduates have established vineyards and wineries across Nagano and throughout Japan, extending Arc En Vigne's educational legacy steadily nationwide.
