Established in 2015 by Kazuaki Wakui, president and chair of the Takayama Village Grape Research Association, Shinshu Takayama Winery welcomed Eiichi Takano as head winemaker. Drawing from the village's long history of premium wine grape cultivation, the winery produced its first vintage in 2016, building upon generations of viticultural knowledge accumulated by the local grape research association.
