Established by social welfare corporation Sun Vision along the historic Nakasendo route (now National Route 20), Sunsun Winery uniquely combines winemaking with community service, creating a welcoming space for both elderly and children while fostering local culture. Led by Hideo Togawa—former chief winemaker at Manns Wine and technical advisor at several Nagano wineries—the facility began vineyard cultivation in 2012 and completed construction in 2015. The winery features impressive vineyards on gentle western slopes with panoramic views extending to the Northern Alps, visible from both the shop and attached restaurant "Bottega," creating an inclusive environment where wine production enriches community life.
