Domaine Kosei honors the legacy of Kikyogahara pioneers by focusing exclusively on Merlot production. Since 2016, the winery has cultivated about 8 hectares of trellised vines at approximately 700 meters elevation on the eastern slopes of Matsumoto Plain in Shiojiri City's Kataoka district. Established in 2019, Domaine Kosei specializes in single-varietal Merlot wines that showcase the distinctive character of this celebrated region.
