Yoshiharu Ochiai, who runs a nursing home, founded the winery in April 2022 after studying at Chikumagawa Wine Academy to revitalize abandoned farmland in response to the elderly community's needs. The winery's name, Il fait beau, means "good weather" in French, symbolizing a wish for a bright, livable region. Winemaker Hiroko Kitayama leads the production.
