In October 2023, Oreilles de Chat Venus Line Winery was established as Chino City's first winery. Founded by Tetsu Koide and his family, the winery's name—French for "cat's ears"—refers to the twin peaks of Kozumi-yama and Ozumi-yama visible from their estate, likened to cat ears. These beloved local mountains appear in the folk tale "Deirabotchi," and Koide's first vineyard is located at the "cat's forehead" between them. The family dreams of rooting the winery deeply in this region with a thousand-year history.
