Komorokko Farm & Winery opened in March 2023 as part of the STARRACE KOMORO complex facility in Iizunayama Park, Komoro City. After searching across Japan since 2016 for an ideal winemaking environment, the founders chose Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture. Beginning in 2019, two people manually developed 2 hectares of abandoned farmland into vineyards using only shovels, mowers, and chainsaws. The first harvest came in 2021, and the winery officially opened in 2023. Operating under Hetre Group Holdings agriculture division, they run the Komorokko Channel YouTube channel, connecting people through agriculture while producing wines that express the unique character of Komoro's soil and climate.
