Domaine Atsushi Suzuki vineyard
🍇 Vineyard (1/2)

Originally from Sapporo, Atsushi developed his passion for grape cultivation through his wine-loving wife's encouragement, leading them to relocate to Yoichi in 2012. He apprenticed under the renowned Soga-san at Domaine Takahiko before establishing his own winery in 2015 as an ambitious young winemaker.

After settling in Yoichi and falling deeply in love with the region's exceptional wines, he continued his education and completely renovated his facility in September 2021. He works alongside his wife in their beautiful timber-built winery, designed to harmonize with the surrounding vineyard landscape. For red wines, he pursues complexity with vibrant fruitiness and elegant length; for whites, he seeks distinctive mineral character.

His grape cultivation employs minimal chemical pesticides, demanding intensive manual labor from vineyard maintenance through harvest. 'The hands-on work and meticulous management are physically demanding, but I believe this dedication creates something truly extraordinary,' he reflects thoughtfully. 'What I strive to express through my wines is the complete individuality of each vineyard—including all the people and creatures that contribute to it—along with that year's unique vintage character and each variety's distinct personality. I want to pursue this vision with absolute dedication.'
